So looking forward to seeing Roberto. My partner and I saw him in Havana in October at a small intimate Jazz Club. A fantastically talented muisician…we had a wonderful night…

I just saw Mr. Fonseca, last Friday At La Zorra y el cuervo Jazz club.
Simply mesmerizing!Mr.Fonesca & his talented drummer seemed of one mind,as they traded licks.I was under the impression that he truly is a joyous spirit, playing for us,but ultimately satisfying some inner need.A musicians musician.Backed by a talented six string bass player, that made his instrument talk,in ways a bass never did,in my lifetime.A saxophone player that moved me and a few sit in guests.I can’t analyze jazz,i’m not that smart,so I just listened with my ears & my heart.Truly an important memory in my life.I’m a novice to Jazz,Mr. Fonseca & I heard some theories that night on how to understnad jazz, but thats just elitism at work. All you need are ears & a heart & Mr. Fonseca will do the rest.Thank you ,so very much.Run,don’t walk,to see this artist,in the truest sense of the word.Sincerely,Al Leavitt
